While
walking along the West Vancouver Seawall, I found myself drawn to the soothing
sound of a small stream cascading over rocks.
I stopped.
I listened.
And for a
few beautiful moments, nothing else mattered.
The sound of
flowing water has a unique ability to quiet the mind. As I stood there, the
worries, distractions, and endless to-do lists seemed to fade into the
background. All that remained was the gentle rhythm of nature.
There was
something incredibly healing about simply being present with the water.
No phone.
No rushing.
No
expectations.
Just the
sound of life unfolding naturally.
The stream
reminded me that healing often happens when we stop trying so hard and allow
ourselves to simply be. Water doesn't force its path. It flows around
obstacles, adapts, and continues moving forward.
What a
beautiful lesson for all of us.
Life can
feel overwhelming at times, but nature continually offers reminders that peace
is available in the present moment. We don't have to travel far to find it.
Sometimes it's waiting beside a stream, hidden within the sound of cascading
water.
That day,
the water became my teacher.
Its message
was simple:
Slow down.
Trust the
flow.
Be present.
And remember
that even the smallest moments can bring profound healing.
The next
time you hear water flowing, pause for a moment. Listen deeply. You may
discover that the peace you've been searching for is already there.
One breath.
One moment.
One healing
sound at a time.

Flowing like water is how we all should live. Thanks for another great affirmation
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Maria. Flowing like water feels like such a gentle reminder to adapt, release what we can’t control, and stay present through each season of life. Thank you for your kind words ๐ง✨
DeleteI agree! Another great affirmation!
DeleteThis was such a peaceful read. I love the reminder that water doesn’t resist or force, it adapts, flows, and keeps moving. There’s something powerful in realizing that healing doesn’t always come from doing more, but sometimes from simply being present. Beautiful reflection ๐
ReplyDeleteI love this as well as the Bruce Lee quote ‘be like water’ but I’m also reminded that water has the ability to carve through rock and forge new paths, it spills over and takes up the space it needs ๐
