Soaking In Stillness: The Daily Practice Of Gratitude In Saying Goodbye To The Day

At the end of the  long productive  day,  after  all the clients, the bus rides,   the highs and the lows,  there is  one sacred ritual  I practice that  brings me back  to center: I soak and massage  my feet  with eucalyptus scented  Epsom salt bath in my at home pedi spa.

The scent wraps around me like a cozy blanket and fills up my whole place with the healing potion.  I close my eyes and say to myself:  This my time, Everything else can wait.  I did good today. I deserve this.

This is a gesture of self love.  My feet tired from standing, walking pressing the pedals of the equipment at work, finally rest, I thank them for carrying me.  I thank my body. Most of all thank you God for giving me strength to keep showing up and honour you with life of service to others.

Gratitude washes over me in this daily quiet ritual, and I say goodbye to another wholesome day.
