Beads Of Thanks: The Daily Practice Of Gratitude In Every Breath
Every
morning as I sit quietly on the bus headed to work, I reach into my bag for
something that grounds me, my rosary. While others scroll their phones or stare out of window, I begin my
silent ritual, One prayer at the time, One thank you at the time.
As I touch
every bead, I softly whisper in my heart: Thank You Lord. I do not rush. I let each word land with intention. Thank
You Lord for another day, Thank you that can breathe, walk, talk, feel, hear,
smell, and see. Thank you for another
chance to serve others. Please let me
be the best I can be with everything you have given me, for your glory!
This ritual
is a sacred pause in a world that rarely stops.
It became my anchor. It centers
me before the busy working day begins and reminds me that God is present in
every single moment.
I do not
always know what the day will bring, but I do know that starting it with
gratitude makes all the difference. By the time I reach my stop I feel lighter,
present, and deeply connected to God and all his blessings.
Gratitude is
not just a feeling. It is a way of being. And for me it begins with a rosary, a
bus ride and simple words that have a power to shift everything:
Thank You Lord!

This is so beautifully written. The image of the rosary on a quiet bus ride feels incredibly grounding and intimate. A powerful reminder that gratitude doesn’t have to be loud to be life-changing. Thank you for sharing this sacred pause with us. 🤍
